The office of Tax Commissioner serves the citizens of Rabun County in many ways. Whether you are a new resident or have lived here for some time, our goal is to serve everyone in an equal and fair manner with the best customer service possible.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
A 10% penalty will be applied to your delinquent property taxes along with additional interest and cost after March 20, 2009.
The Tax Commissioner is responsible for the collecting of taxes such as, Property Tax, personal property tax, mobile home decals, vehicle tax and license plates. In addition to this, the Tax Commissioner is responsible for distributing tax to the State, County and Schools.
2009 Mobile Home Tax Bills are tentatively scheduled for mailing in January 2009 and will be due on May 1, 2009.
We collect sales tax on vehicles purchased outside of the State of Georgia.
